Namaqualand Livestock (Pty) Ltd operates as a diversified agricultural farm specializing in Livestock, Chickens & Eggs, Ostrich & Eggs, Animal Feed, and Poultry Supplies.

Our journey began with a clear goal: to produce and supply high-quality livestock and poultry products to the market. From humble beginnings, we have grown into a reliable producer and supplier of cattle, goats, sheep, layer and broiler chickens, day-old chicks, fresh eggs, ostrich and ostrich eggs, as well as animal feed and poultry equipment.

Today, our operation produces an average of 250,000 day-old chicks per week, supplying both layer and broiler chickens, alongside our expanding livestock and animal feed divisions.

Our farm currently accommodates 17 breeding sites, each housing flocks of approximately 7,000 breeder chickens placed every 62 weeks on a 5-week cycle. All breeders are raised according to strict technical and quality standards. At around 22 weeks of age, the breeders reach maturity and begin egg production.

The eggs are then transported to our hatchery, where they undergo disinfection and grading before being placed in setters for 18 days. Thereafter, they are moved to hatchers for an additional 3 days to complete the hatching process.
